A long-term investment in Bahamian real estate is considered one of the best options in the world, as the country is listed as one of the top 20 places to purchase property.
The ratings were compiled by Globalpropertyguide.com, one of the largest real estate websites that offers detailed information on properties worldwide. Former president of the Bahamas Real Estate Association, William Wong, said the country is an ideal location for potential home buyers to invest in, which is why it received a good rating.
"The Bahamas is a great place to invest, it's next door to North America and [not far] from New York and Toronto," Wong said. "Being close to one of the biggest markets in the world is something we need to continue to capitalize on".
